Senior Spotlight!

Brett Reasor

Hello, my name is Brett Reasor and this will be my fourth year at Shattuck High School. I was originally home-schooled and decided to take a different path in life and today that is the best decision I have ever made. Shattuck High has changed me for the better and the connections I have made in this school are unbelievable. I have one older brother, Brandon, and our family has two dogs Buddy and Holly along with two cats and many chickens that try to escape our yard. Family is very important to me and I am so grateful to have such a loving and supportive family. Currently my favorite class is food science because I have been able to apply those skills to make some awesome food.

My plans after high school are to attend the John Deere Tech program and becoming a full-time diesel technician. I really enjoy working with my hands and fixing a problem that I see needs to be solved. This program to me will really allow me to get out into the world and put my skills to good use.

I will be majoring in Diesel Technology and if I make it through the program from John Deere I will have an associates degree in diesel tech. I am currently looking at two schools Texas State Technical College and Garden City Community College in Kansas.

Music is a huge part of my life and in my free time I continue to learn new skills on new instruments. Right now I am working on the drums, but I really enjoy playing the banjo and the guitar. Playing music with people is such a highlight for me and I really enjoy playing music with my family. I also enjoy tinkering on old vehicles or pretty much anything that has an engine. I love getting old machinery working again. I'm so glad to be a part of Shattuck High and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me.
