 A consistent daily schedule and step-by-step routine give children a predictable day. Schedules and routines in the classroom and at home help children:

• Know how to do an activity or task
• Engage in learning

11:30-11:45          Fine Motor Practice-

Fine motor skills refer to precision, dexterity, and coordination of the hands. These are the skills that allow us to use our hands to manipulate materials like pencils, containers, clothing fasteners, and little objects (We work on these skills every DAY, all year long.  Some examples of things we do during this time, include. 

•                    Tracing Skills (Lines, Shapes, Names, Letters, and Numbers)
•                    Torn Paper Art
•                    Manipulatives and/or PlayDough       
•                    Manipulating Scissors and Learning to Cut ​​​​​​

Children will participate in learning games that correspond to the skills we are working on at the current time.
