INDIANAPOLIS,INDIANA - The National FFA Organization announces Shattuck FFA  alumnus, Eric Quisenberry, will be awarded the American FFA Degree. As the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career. American FFA Degree recipients show promise for the future and have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence. The requirements to earn the American FFA Degree are set forth in the National FFA Constitution. To be eligible to receive the American FFA Degree, Eric met qualifications such as receiving a State FFA Degree, holding active membership for the past three years, completing secondary instruction in an agricultural education program and by operating an outstanding supervised agricultural experience program. Community service, leadership abilities and outstanding scholastic achievement are also required. Eric will be honored at the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis on November 4th, 2023.

As a Shattuck FFA member, Quisenberry placed first in both the Shattuck and Seiling welding rodeos. In 2022 his project was named Grand Champion at the Woodward District Ag Mechanics Contest.  He also found success at the Oklahoma Youth Expo Ag Mechanics Contest, placing first place in the Livestock Division with his custom cattle working equipment in both 2021 and 2022, as well as receiving the Bronze Medallion overall in 2022.  He ended a successful high school FFA career by receiving his State FFA Degree, as well as being a proficiency award finalist in the area of Ag Mechanics Design and Fabrication. Eric is currently studying Animal Science at Oklahoma State University. His future plans include opening a meat processing facility in Shattuck to provide custom processing and offer meat products to the community.  Congratulations Eric!
