2019-20 State FFA Awards

By: Teagan Charmasson

On Tuesday, May 12th, three Shattuck FFA members received proficiency awards at the 2020 online Oklahoma State FFA awards show. This year, due to current events and the Covid-19 outbreak, the Oklahoma FFA had no choice but to cancel the 2020 Oklahoma State FFA Convention. Because of this, the awards show was held live on YouTube. Several of Shattuck’s FFA members gathered at the Ag building to safely watch the livestream and see the results of their hard work from the past year.

Erika Meier, a 2020 graduate of Shattuck and the 2019-2020 Chapter Reporter, placed 2nd in the State Chapter Reporter’s Contest. Duke Kelln, a 2019 graduate of Shattuck High School came out on top and placed 1st in the Agricultural Mechanics Design & Fabrication contest. Lastly, Kaylee Holt, a 2019 graduate of Shattuck brought back 3rd place in the Swine Production Placement category. These three FFA members worked very hard to achieve these awards and the Shattuck FFA is very proud of them.
