SHATTUCK FFA HOSTS ANNUAL LIVESTOCK SHOW AND AUCTION

SHATTUCK, OKLAHOMA-  On January 30th, the Shattuck FFA held their annual Ag Booster Auction and dinner. A thank you for support as the meal was prepared and served by DJ and Emily Moore and provided by SNB Bank, in addition the auction for the night was sponsored by Joppa Masonic Lodge #262. The members were so thankful to have such an amazing community that showed up to help out the chapter. On February 5th-7th was the Ellis County Spring Stock Show and auction. There were a total of 84 showmen from the Ellis County 4H & FFA, Congratulations to the following, Grand Champion Wether Lamb- Ona Rakestraw, Grand Champion Wether Goat- Sydney Melton, Grand Champion Market Steer- Allyn Goodson, Grand Champion Barrow- Bryan Holt, Supreme Ewe- Keegan Spillman, Supreme Doe- Madison Haney, Supreme Heifer- Aly Friesen, Supreme Gilt- Bryan Holt, Grand Champion Commercial Pen- Sara Wayland, Grand Champion Prospect Steer- Jadyn Washmon, Reserve Grand Champion Weather Lamb- Kelton Spillman, Reserve Grand, Champion Wether Goat- Leah Taylor, Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer- Connor Brown, Reserve Grand Champion Barrow- Brooklyn Vincent, Reserve Supreme Ewe- Aliyah Wadsworth, Reserve Supreme Doe- Madison Haney, Reserve Supreme Heifer- Ezabela Herber, Reserve Supreme Gilt,- Jerickah Laverty, Reserve Commercial Pen- Landry Bayless. The Shattuck FFA would like to thank the Tuttle FFA Ag teacher, S.L. McGill, for coming to judge our county show.  After the show was concluded, on Monday the 6th, preparations were made for the following evening for the Premium Auction and Dinner. Ellis County would like to thank all of the surrounding businesses and individuals that came out to support the livestock exhibitors. We would also like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Hoss Manske for auctioneering both nights of auctions and the community for the overall support for Shattuck FFA and Ellis County livestock exhibitors.
