SHATTUCK HOSTS WELDING RODEO

By Ezabela Herber

SHATTUCK, OKLAHOMA - On Wednesday April 27th, 5 different schools from the Northwest area traveled to Shattuck to compete in our locally hosted Welding Rodeo. Over 40 students competed in this event. The contest consisted of 5 different categories which included mig welding, stick welding, torch cutting, tool ID and a written test. The participants were scored in each of these categories and the winner was the student earning the most points. Contestants were broken into either the junior or senior division based on grade level. The junior division winner was Logan Morrow, a freshman from Shattuck. The senior division winner was Eric Quisenberry, a senior from Shattuck. Both winners received custom belt buckles.  Congratulations to all of the participants!
