SHATTUCK FFA OYE WRAP UP

By Ezabela Herber

OKLAHOMA CITY - Shattuck had a great week at the Oklahoma Youth Expo in Oklahoma City over spring break. Several 4H and FFA students exhibited both livestock and ag mechanics projects, as well as competing in the Skillathon. Senior Clayton Washmon won his class and made the livestock premium sale with his Crossbred wether.  Sophomore Sydney Melton was champion in the Skillathon Senior Division, and Eric Quisenberry won Bronze Medallion Champion in the ag mech contest, qualifying his cattle working tub and chute for the ag mechanics online sale. Also qualifying for the ag mech sale were Ezabela Herber with a decorative bench, Jesus Hernandez with a hay bale grabber, and Tate Charmasson and Mason Magness with a portable pellet cooker.  The ag mechanics auction is open until April 13th, and can be found at www.bigiron.com.  All Shattuck exhibitors have put in a lot of work throughout the school year,  leading up to this fun filled week. Congratulations to all of the students that competed at OYE, the world’s largest youth livestock show!.
